Monday January 27th, 2020

  • We explored how many different shapes students can make using 24 units as the perimeter.
  • Continuation of the visual vocabulary went by quickly today.  Students are creating a "word wall" based on Space Science vocabulary.
  • Students continued organizing information about their planet into an inverted triangle and will be taking on the role of a "journalist" by writing a news article.
  • A few of our planets were put up on the bulletin board today and our moonscape now has a few craters.  Specifically the 'Tycho Crater'
  • We read Malala today and have reached the part of the book titled "Finding my Voice."
  • Groups started planning how they will present their information about their planet to the class.
  • We ended the day talking about everyday being "Literacy Day" and Mrs. Wagenblast shared a few of her favourite picture books.  Students voted on a book to read.
